Please join ULI and Cushman & Wakefield as we examine the Future of the Office. Explore how the pandemic-induced work from home (WFH) experiment has altered perspectives on work, flexibility and the office, what the office will need to provide employees in a post-COVID-19 world and how vital it will be for organizations to intentionally lead through change management, communication and culture as they transition to a more agile workforce.

One thing is clear: the purpose of the workplace is changing. There is strong consensus among leaders that declines in workplace culture, innovation and creativity are inevitablewhen people work entirely remotely. Hybrid working, where employees spend part of the week working in the office and the other part working from home or in a
third location, is expected to more than double going forward, while exclusively remote structures will remain the exception. In addition, the real estate industry is expected to become nimbler as tenants require greater flexibility in terms of space, amenities and leasing terms.

In this session our panelists will address questions like: What purpose does the office serve in the future? How will that purpose impact how occupiers think about their portfolio footprints, location strategy and office layouts? What are the implications to office owners, corporate users, and employees? What are the implications to transportation infrastructure? Attendees will be given an opportunity to engage in the discussion.

Corinne Murray

Corinne Murray is RXR’s Director of Workplace Strategy + Innovation, where she focuses on deepening RXR’s workplace and experience offerings for tenants across the portfolio. Since joining RXR in March of 2020, Corinne has hired and developed the RXO team (RXR Experience Officers) - a team dedicated to developing and deploying programming and activations designed for RXR Tenants and their employees. She currently building out the workplace strategy and built environment product development function at RXR, focusing on the evolution of the post-COVID workplace and how people adopt to new behaviors.
Throughout her career she has led several workplace transformation efforts to facilitate greater potential for companies and unlocking better experiences for employees and their community. Prior to RXR, Corinne worked at WeWork, Gensler, American Express, and CBRE.
Moses Gates
Regional Plan Association
Moses Gates is RPA’s Vice President of Housing and Neighborhood Planning, and oversees RPA's work on affordability, urban design and livable neighborhoods. Prior to joining RPA, Moses was director of planning and community development for the Association for Neighborhood Housing Development, where he initiated New York City’s first Community Development Fellowship program.
He is a visiting assistant professor at the Pratt Institute, serves on the board of directors for Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City, and is a licensed NYC Tour Guide and author of the memoir “Hidden Cities."
